Beth Brier
Director

Beth received her training at the Pennsylvania Ballet School as a scholarship student under the direction of Barbara Weisberger. She was soloist with Dance Theatre of Pennsylvania and Jazz Dance Theatre of Pennsylvania. She has produced events with such notables as Debra Brown, Emmy Award Winning Choreographer of Cirque du Soleil. After Teaching in 8 states and traveling as Master Teacher for many years, Beth created BB's Dance Factory with the vision of providing children with professional level training and performing opportunities in a fun and stimulating environment in the Tampa Bay Area.
BB's goal is to create a "Movement Arts" Theatre for the Tampa Bay area incorporating all movement art forms in concert with each other, including dance, aerial arts, tumbling arts, and performing arts.

Marsha Wilson

 Marsha Wilson  Marsha began dancing with Academy of Ballet Arts in St. Petersburg, Fl. under the guidance of Suzanne Pomerantzeff and Lester Jacobsen. She attended the University of Utah as a dance major before joining the Milwaukee Ballet. Upon returning to Florida, she danced with the Southern Ballet Theatre in Orlando for several years. Currently, she choreographs works for performances and international ballet competitions and teaches for several dance studios in the local area.

 


Albena Arnaudova

Albena Arnaudova received her training at the Bolshoi Academy of Ballet in Moscow on a full scholarship from the Bulgarian School of the Arts. She toured extensively through Europe and Asia performing classical ballets such as the Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Cinderella and Don Quixote.
Albena has an outstanding reputation as a Master Teacher and is well-respected in the Tampa Bay area. She recently was an Adjunct Professor, teaching classical ballet at the University of South Florida, and is currently the Director of Dance at Blake High School of the Performing Arts in Tampa.


Cathy Scavelli

Cathy has been teaching tap for over 13 years. She teaches all styles from rhythm tap and jazz-tap to Broadway style and funk. Clean technique is a very important part of her classes. Her instructor, Lorraine Judd, was mentored by tap greats such as Gregory Hines, Leon Collins and Henry LeTang. Cathy continues her tap education by attending various tap festivals throughout the country with Master tap teachers such as Dianne Walker, Acia Gray, Gene Medler, Lynn Schwab and Jason Samuels Smith.


Kurt Krynski

Kurt is trained in classical ballet, partnering, modern,
contact improvisation & trapeze/aerial. He has trained under Alberto Alonzo and Alora Haines in Gainesville, FL. and has worked with the Jose Limon Company and Fly By Night in NYC.
Kurt is possibly the strongest smallest man we have ever met. If you haven't seen him perform in our shows, you MUST make an effort to do so this year. He is the master of many endearing but looney characters.
Kurt has also trained under the "Gemini Twins" from Cirque du Soleil, Carrie Heller, author and leading authority in aerial arts safety training, and  with Ileigh Reynolds of "Flyspace" in Miami.

Catie Brier
Chinese Acrobatics & Contortion

After a full schedule of dance training for years, Catie decided to run off and join the circus.
Since then she has trained with Mongolian Contortionist, Sergima and
Master Lu Yi of China at the San Francisco Circus Center. Master Lu Yi is a world reknown coach of many circus athletes and provides the only training available in Chinese Acrobatics and Contortion outside of China. 
Catie now performs at many events throughout the US, including performances at Alcatraz, the Queen Mary cruise ship and Super Bowl 2008.
Catie manages to fit into her intense training and performing regime
returning to the Tampa Bay Area for
workshops and performances with Dance & Circus Arts.

Ileigh Reynolds
Fabric, Trapeze, Rope & Harness
Ileigh Reynolds is Founding Artistic Director of the emerging company
Animate Objects Physical Theater (AOPT).  Through her choreography with the company, she creates inventive avenues of physical communication through an integration of contemporary dance, movement based theater, aerial dance, and other circus arts.  Previous to forming AOPT, she worked with renowned modern dance choreographers Bebe Miller (New York), Amii LeGendre (Seattle) and Crispin Spaeth (Seattle).  In recent years as an aerialist, fire dancer and acrobatic stilt dancer, Ms. Reynolds has performed throughout the US, Puerto Rico and Chile with CircX Entertainment, GS Entertainment, RTC Productions, Moving Arts of Tampa Bay and Centro de Artes EL TREN.  She holds a BFA in Dance form New World School of the Arts and in addition to directing the aerial program at Flyspace, she teaches modern dance at Miami Contemporary Dance Center and aerial dance in the Walking Tall Physical Theater program for Carnival Center for the Performing Arts.

Carrie Heller
Aerial Training Workshops

A choreographer & performer with over 20 years experience, Carrie has appeared on CNN; at the Georgia World Congress Center; Emory University; The Rayburn Congressional Center in Washington D.C.; and at other events across the country.
She has worked with Cirque Du Monde; a Cirque Du Soleil Outreach Program that uses circus arts as an alternative educational approach to help youth in difficulty around the world.
Carrie is the author of the industry’s only Aerial Circus Training and Safety Manual, a guide for teachers and students in the Aerial Arts, and several other training manuals focusing on Circus Arts Therapy. Utilizing her manuals, Carrie conducts workshops for circus schools, gymnastics schools, camps and treatment centers, as well as individuals, families and groups throughout the country.
